Dancing and singing  Angels of peace

  • The Little Angels, a children’s folk ballet, was established on May 5, 1962, to convey to the people of the world the peace-loving spirit of the Korean people and the beautiful culture and art of Korea.
  • In September 1965, the Little Angels departed for their first international tour, which included an exclusive performance for U.S. President Eisenhower at Gettysburg, Pennsylvania. From this starting point, the Little Angels have continued to pursue their dream and vision, performing all around the world. To date, the Little Angels have traveled to over fifty countries, have made over sixty overseas tours, and have given more than 7,000 stage performance in their native Korea and abroad. They have made over 600 television appearances, met with governments and civilian leaders in each of the countries where they performed. They are known as Korea’s young ambassadors of peace and goodwill.
  • From June 2010 through November 2011, in honor of the 60th anniversary of the Korean War, the Little Angels performed in each of the 22 UN member nations that had sent combat troops or medical units to Korea during and in the immediate aftermath of the Korean War to express gratitude and heartfelt thanks to all the Korean War veterans and honor their sacrifices.
  • For half a century, the Little Angels have proudly honored and continued their noble heritage bringing with them the traditions and culture of Korea’s history. The Little Angels will continue to contribute to the development and dissemination of traditional culture and arts and to fulfill their Civilian Peacekeeping diplomatic mission.
